This Wiseco RED Series piston set is built for your Chevrolet Small Block 400 engine. You get a complete set of 8 pistons, each designed with a 4.155 inch bore and a 1.000 inch compression height. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a strong material chosen for the demands of performance racing and engines with power adders. The RED series, which stands for Race Engineered Design, aims to give you the strength you need with precision features for a competitive edge.

Wiseco machines these pistons in the USA, using dedicated forgings that allow for an optimized, engine-specific strutted design. This approach helps maximize the strength-to-weight ratio. For improved lubrication and longer service life, the pin bores feature horizontal slot oiling to keep the wrist pin and small end of the connecting rod well-lubricated. Each set also comes with premium rings, so you don't need to source them separately. An accumulator groove is included to help maintain consistent ring seal and power delivery.

Additionally, these pistons feature an ArmorGlide skirt coating. This coating is designed to reduce operating friction and noise, while also minimizing wear on the piston skirt and cylinder wall. Keep in mind that this piston set is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
