This is a set of eight Wiseco RED Series pistons for Ford Small Block engines. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for demanding performance racing and applications where power adders like turbochargers or superchargers are used. The RED series stands for Race Engineered Design, meaning these pistons are built with features specifically aimed at giving a competitive edge in motorsports, from drag racing to circle track.

Wiseco has incorporated several notable features into these pistons. The horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores is a key detail that ensures the wrist pin and the small end of the connecting rod stay properly lubricated, which is critical for extending the service life of these high-performance components.
