Each piston is forged and machined in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its improved tensile strength under high loads. They feature precision ring grooves, an anti-detonation groove, and other features to improve ring seal, which is crucial for preventing blow-by and maintaining compression. The crown is fully machined for accuracy, and they come with forced pin oiling to ensure the wrist pin stays well-lubricated. For reduced friction and quieter operation, these pistons also have an ArmorGlide skirt coating, which helps prevent seizure and wear.
