Forged from 2618 aluminum, this Wiseco piston is built for the rigors of performance engine builds. The 2618 alloy offers improved tensile strength compared to other aluminum types, making it a solid choice for engines that see heavy use. This piston is specifically designed for the Subaru EJ20 engine found in the 1993-1998 Impreza models.
Wiseco machines these pistons in the USA, paying close attention to details like precision ring grooves, anti-detonation grooves, and features that enhance ring seal. The crown is also fully machined for a clean combustion chamber surface. For reduced friction and improved durability, the piston skirt is treated with an ArmorGlide coating, which helps prevent seizure and quiets operation.
