Starting with a -1cc dome volume and an 8.8:1 compression ratio, these Wiseco pistons are built for the 1.8L 16V engine found in your 1987-1989 Volkswagen Golf. They're forged from 2618 aluminum right here in the USA, a material chosen for its strong tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the demands of a performance build. The fully machined crown ensures precise combustion chamber volume, working in tandem with the dome to achieve that specific compression ratio.
