These pistons are forged and machined in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its improved tensile strength under high stress. Wiseco has included precision ring grooves, anti-detonation grooves, and other features to ensure a better ring seal, which is crucial for maintaining compression and preventing blow-by in a turbocharged engine. The piston crowns are fully machined, and they come with forced pin oiling to keep the wrist pins lubricated.
