It's designed for the Chrysler/AAM 11.5-inch rear differential found in single rear wheel (SRW) trucks, featuring 30 splines and a length of 36-13/16 inches. This axle is a direct replacement for your stock unit, intended to handle the demands of your Ram truck.

Yukon builds these axles using high-tensile strength 4340 chromoly steel, which is known for its strength and resistance to bending or breaking under load. The splines are cold roll formed, a process that strengthens the metal where the splines are created, rather than cutting them away. They also undergo advanced induction coil heat treating. This process carefully hardens the surface of the axle while keeping the core tough and flexible, resulting in an axle that's both strong and durable for long-term use. The axle is also double drilled to accommodate multiple bolt patterns, offering some flexibility during installation.
