3M Quick Headlight Renewal Plus

Cloudy, yellowed headlights cut your nighttime visibility and make the whole front end of your car look tired. 3M's Quick Headlight Renewal Plus kit gives you a fast way to clear that haze without replacing the entire lens assembly.

Inside the kit you get a 3M Trizact P3000 abrasive disc, 1 fl oz of 3M Rubbing Compound, and masking tape to protect the paint around the lens. The Trizact abrasive does the heavy lifting, sanding away the oxidized outer layer of the plastic, and the rubbing compound follows up to polish the surface clear. Most users report the job takes about 20 to 30 minutes for both headlights, working by hand without any power tools.

The kit works on headlights, taillights, fog lights, and directional lenses — essentially any clear plastic lens on the exterior of the vehicle. It is designed to handle light yellowing and oxidation.
