You get a Ram-Air Intake System in this Banks Power package. This system is built for 2006-2007 Chevy and GMC trucks with the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine. It's designed to let your engine breathe better, which can help with power and fuel economy.
The Ram-Air intake uses an enclosed housing to keep hot engine air out, pulling in cooler outside air instead. This cooler, denser air helps the engine make more power and can lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs). The system includes a large, reusable cotton gauze air filter that flows better than stock paper filters and needs cleaning less often. Banks also includes a unique 5-inch bellows that lets the engine move without damaging the intake components.
