The stock exhaust has a small 2.85-inch outlet, while this Banks system uses a full 5-inch diameter with mandrel-bent tubing. This setup offers 192% more flow area than stock and reduces backpressure by 85%. This means your engine can produce more power. It also lowers exhaust exit temperatures by 15% during DPF regeneration, which is important because the stock exhaust can blast super-hot gas directly at anything you're towing, potentially causing damage. The Monster Exhaust directs the exhaust out to the side, allowing ambient air to cool it down before it reaches your trailer.
