BD Diesel has beefed up this transmission with a high-energy clutch material and increased clutch counts across several gear sets, including an impressive 75% increase in C3 clutches over stock. They've also revised the oil circuits and added new valves to ensure full line pressure reaches the clutches, which is crucial for smooth, strong shifts. The included deep aluminum HD transmission pan adds an extra 3.5 quarts of oil capacity, helping to keep temperatures down during heavy use. The torque converter is designed for street and towing applications, featuring a torque-multiplying cast aluminum stator for better response off the line and more efficient operation that generates less heat and can improve fuel economy.
