This BD Diesel shift kit is designed to improve the performance and durability of your Allison 1000 transmission in your 2006-2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. You'll get our exclusive Smart Trim/Clutch Control valve assemblies, along with components to modify the C2 clutch piston. This helps increase the capacity and durability of the C2 clutch, which is known to be the weakest part in earlier 5-speed Allison transmissions.
With this kit installed, you can expect short, crisp, and smooth upshifts and kickdowns. It also addresses common issues like the transmission going into neutral under load, not moving after extended parking, and 3-4 clutch slip. This kit is rated to handle up to 500 street horsepower and is a solid option if you're experiencing burned C2 or C3 clutches, loss of pump prime, or sticking in one gear.
