BD Diesel Transmission - 2001-2004 Chev LB7 Allison 1000 4wd

When you're pushing your 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD or GMC Sierra 2500 HD with the LB7 Duramax engine beyond its original limits, the stock Allison 1000 transmission can become a weak point. This BD Diesel Stage 4 transmission is built to handle significantly more power and torque, increasing the durability of your entire drivetrain. It comes complete with BD Diesel's heavy-duty aluminum transmission pan, which adds 3.5 quarts of oil capacity and features heat-dissipating fins to help keep temperatures down during demanding use.

Inside, you'll find stronger internals and a revised oil circuit designed to manage increased loads. This transmission features a higher clutch count across multiple clutch packs, including an 8-clutch C1 pack and 7-clutch packs for C2, C3, C4, and C5. Combined with high-energy GPZ friction material and modified power pistons, these upgrades provide 20% more friction surface and are capable of handling up to 300% more power and torque than a factory transmission. The updated lube, regulator, and pressure release spring, along with a new converter lock-up valve that boosts lock-up pressures, contribute to crisper shifts and improved performance under load. This unit is also dyno-tested to ensure it meets BD Diesel's standards before it leaves the shop.

This transmission is designed for increased durability and performance, but it is not warranted for race or sled pull use. It includes the BD Diesel heavy-duty transmission pan with a magnetic drain plug. BD Diesel backs this transmission with a 36-month or 150,000-mile limited warranty, whichever comes first. Please note that using a third-party or OE converter will invalidate the warranty; a compatible converter is required.
