BD Diesel Transmission - 2003-2004 Ford 5R110 4wd

The stock transmission in your 2003-2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty is built to handle the power of a stock engine, but if you've added more power or plan to, it's likely to be a weak point. This BD Diesel Stage 4 transmission is a robust upgrade designed to significantly increase your drivetrain's durability and power-handling capability. It's built with a fully rollerized geartrain and tighter clutch packs that provide quicker shifts, along with 30%-40% more clutch material and additional steels for improved engagement and strength.

BD Diesel has reworked the front pump and added high-power boost valves for improved internal lubrication, along with revised oil circuits and added lube circuits to keep everything running cool and smooth. The transmission also features a heavy-duty snap ring and blow-off valve to prevent runaway pressure from damaging the case, and plastic pressure plugs in the valve body are replaced with aluminum for better reliability. This transmission is capable of handling up to 300% more power and torque than the stock unit, thanks to its stronger internals and increased clutch counts across all gears, including 6 clutches in the Direct and Low Reverse gears.

Included with this transmission is a BD rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan. This pan adds an extra 6 quarts of oil capacity, which helps keep temperatures down, and its heat-dissipating fins further aid in cooling. The pan also reduces case flex and internal oil leakage, contributing to overall transmission longevity. A magnetic drain plug is also integrated into the pan to help catch any stray metal particles. This transmission is dyno tested to ensure it meets BD Diesel's high standards before it ships out.
