It's designed to address the common weak points found in the stock 68RFE transmission, especially for those pushing higher torque levels or towing heavy loads. This unit comes complete with a hard-anodized valve body, a new solenoid pack, and a custom separator plate that helps increase line pressure while preventing internal leaks. You also get a heavy-duty cam and roller design for the low reverse one-way clutch, a new 4C billet spring retainer, and a steel girdle added to the 2C piston to accommodate more clutches and a wider apply area.

BD Diesel uses their durable QT100 pressure plates, which allow for increased clutch counts and help reduce deflection and distortion within the clutch drum. This means you get a more robust clutch pack capable of holding higher torque levels, with notable increases in clutch counts for Over Drive (17%), Under Drive (20%), and 2C (33%). The TCC limit valve has been machined and sleeved to handle wear in that high-stress area. To further enhance cooling and capacity, a deep sump oil pan is included, which also helps reduce case flex. The included BD ProTech68 pressure control module works with the MAP sensor to ramp up line pressure to 250 psi based on load, ensuring you have the necessary pressure for demanding situations.

This transmission also features a custom overdrive shaft designed for increased durability and a reinforced accumulator plate.
