If you're pushing serious power through your 1998 or 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 with the 24-valve Cummins and the 47RE transmission, you know the stock unit can become a weak link. This BD Diesel TorqueMaster transmission and converter package is designed to handle the increased demands of a modified diesel engine, offering improved durability and performance for street, towing, and track applications.

This complete package starts with a thoroughly rebuilt and upgraded 47RE transmission. It features a billet input shaft to withstand the snap from rapid throttle changes and high horsepower. Inside, you'll find roller Torrington bearings replacing stock thrust bushings, a modified manual valve for better lubrication, and a high-temperature Raybestos band with billet band lever and strut. The transmission also includes an upgraded valve body, governor solenoid, and governor pressure transducer, all designed to increase line pressure to 190-200 psi and eliminate shuttle shifting issues. The BD rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan adds 2 quarts of extra oil capacity and features heat-dissipating fins to keep temperatures down, along with a magnetic drain plug. An auxiliary full-flow filter kit is included for extra protection, and a cooler line case saver is built into every transmission.

The included torque converter is matched to the transmission for optimal performance. It features a stamped forged 1-piece cover that eliminates warpage from clutch heat and a taller cover that allows for more rebuilds. The trapezoid tooth design with self-centering teeth increases contact, reducing wear and chatter, while thrust bearings replace plastic washers. The converter's turbine fins are furnace brazed for improved fluid coupling efficiency, and the cast stator design maximizes torque. This package is dyno-tested together to ensure ultimate performance and reliability, and it's built to increase the overall durability of your drivetrain.
