BD Diesel Transmission Kit - 1994-1995 Dodge 47RH 4wd

If you're working on a 1994 or 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 with the 47RH 4WD transmission, this BD Diesel Stage 4 transmission kit is built to handle significantly more power than the original unit. The stock transmission is designed for stock engine output, but this upgraded unit is engineered to increase the durability of your drivetrain, handling up to 300% more power and torque. This makes it a solid choice if you've modified your engine or plan to tow heavy loads regularly.

This transmission kit features a new design valve body with revised oil circuits and updated governor pressure transducer and solenoid, which offers twice the burst pressure of stock. It also includes a drilled intermediate shaft for better lubrication and a modified manual valve that ensures lube in all gear positions. The stock thrust washers have been replaced with roller Torrington bearings, reducing friction and saving your governor solenoids. You'll find extra clutches with up to 25% more material than stock, including a high-temp Raybestos band and a billet band strut and anchor for improved strength. The kit also comes with a BD rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan that adds an extra quart of oil capacity, reduces case flex, and features heat-dissipating fins to keep temperatures down. A magnetic drain plug is included in the pan to catch any metal particles.

For added protection, this kit includes BD's auxiliary full-flow filter kit, which provides extra filtration for your transmission fluid. The kit also includes a cooler line case saver to prevent leaks. This transmission is fully rollerized and comes with a billet input shaft designed to handle rapid throttle changes and high horsepower.
