When you're pushing your 1999-2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty beyond its original limits, especially for towing or hauling heavy loads, the stock transmission can become a weak point. This BD Diesel Stage 4 transmission is built to handle significantly more power and torque, offering a more durable and reliable drivetrain for your truck. It's a substantial upgrade designed to keep your Super Duty performing when you need it most.

This transmission features a host of internal improvements, starting with the replacement of all aluminum planetaries with steel for increased strength. You'll find added lube circuits to the OD planet, output shaft, and intermediate shaft, which are crucial for sustained high-load operation and preventing premature wear. The clutch counts have been increased across the board, with a notable 30%-40% more clutch material and additional steels, all contributing to positive clutch application and quicker, firmer shifts. The geartrain is fully rollerized, and upgraded sprags and snap rings further enhance durability. To manage the increased power and torque, which can be up to 300% more than stock, the front pump has been reworked, and the internal oil circuits have been revised. The accumulator body has also been re-calibrated for improved oil flow and enhanced performance.

Included with this transmission is BD Diesel's heavy-duty aluminum pan, which adds an extra 6 quarts of oil capacity and helps reduce case flex and internal oil leakage thanks to its heat-dissipating fins. For added protection, an auxiliary frame-mounted full-flow filter kit is also bundled in, ensuring cleaner fluid and longer transmission life. This transmission is dyno-tested before it leaves BD Diesel, ensuring it meets their high standards.
