BD Diesel Transmission Kit - 2004.5-2007 Dodge 48RE 2wd w/TVV Stepper Motor

When you're pushing your 2005-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 beyond what the stock transmission can handle, you need a serious upgrade. This BD Diesel Stage 4 transmission kit is built to take on significantly more power and torque than the original unit, increasing the durability of your drivetrain. It comes complete with BD's rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan and an auxiliary full-flow filter kit for added protection.

Inside this transmission, you'll find a new design valve body with revised oil circuits and a modified manual valve for improved lubrication in all gear positions. The stock thrust washers have been replaced with roller Torrington bearings, which not only reduce friction but also help save your governor solenoids. You also get an upgraded governor pressure transducer and a governor solenoid with twice the burst pressure of stock. The intermediate shaft is drilled for increased lube, and the forward (rear) beveled pressure plate, overdrive brake (front & rear) pressure plates, and direct clutch (front) piston are all machined for better performance. This unit also features a high-temp/energy Raybestos band with a billet band strut and anchor, plus a billet dual ring accumulator piston for added strength.

The heavy-duty aluminum pan included in this kit is more than just a container for fluid; it's designed to reduce case flex and internal oil leakage, while its heat-dissipating fins help keep temperatures down. It also adds an extra quart of oil capacity, and a magnetic drain plug is included to catch any stray metal particles. This transmission is fully rollerized and includes extra clutches with up to 25% more material than stock, along with stronger internals, allowing it to handle up to 300% more power and torque than the stock transmission. It's tested on a dyno before it leaves the shop, ensuring it's ready to perform.
