If you're looking to significantly increase the durability and power-handling capability of your 2005-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500, this BD Diesel transmission is built for the job. The stock transmission is fine for everyday driving, but when you start adding horsepower or towing heavy loads, it can quickly become a weak link. This BD transmission is a Stage 4 upgrade designed to take on much more abuse and keep your drivetrain running strong.

BD Diesel has gone through this transmission with a fine-tooth comb, replacing stock components with stronger, more efficient parts. They've replaced the stock thrust washers with roller Torrington bearings, which not only reduces friction but also helps save your governor solenoids. The intermediate shaft has been drilled for better lubrication, and the manual valve is modified to ensure lube in all gear positions. You'll find extra clutches and stronger internals throughout, including up to 80% higher clutch apply pressures than stock, with a pressure increase that starts at lower RPMs and lighter throttle inputs. This means you get a firmer shift when you need it, without the harshness of a shuttle shift, and it's all built to handle up to 300% more power and torque than the original unit.

This kit also includes BD's heavy-duty rigid aluminum transmission pan, which adds an extra quart of fluid capacity and helps dissipate heat with its fins, reducing case flex and internal oil leakage. A magnetic drain plug is included to catch any stray metal particles.
