This BD Diesel Stage 4 transmission and torque converter package is designed specifically for your 2005-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD with the 48RE transmission. It includes a fully rebuilt and upgraded transmission assembly, a matched torque converter, and an auxiliary full-flow filter kit. This package aims to significantly increase the durability and performance of your truck's drivetrain, handling more power and torque than the stock unit.

BD Diesel has gone through this transmission with a fine-tooth comb. You're getting a transmission with increased line pressure to 190-200 psi, which helps prevent shuttle shifting and ensures solid engagement. They've replaced the stock thrust bushings with roller Torrington bearings for better durability, and the intermediate shaft has been drilled for improved lubrication. The clutch packs have been beefed up with more material, including a high-temperature Raybestos band, and the manual valve is modified for better lube in all gear positions. It also features a billet band lever, billet band strut, and a billet fine spline input shaft to handle the 'snap' from rapid throttle changes and higher horsepower applications. The included BD rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan adds an extra 2 quarts of fluid capacity and features heat-dissipating fins to help keep temperatures down, plus a magnetic drain plug to catch any stray metal particles.

The included torque converter is also enhanced for street and towing applications, featuring a taller, stamp-forged one-piece cover that can be rebuilt more often and trapezoid teeth with a self-centering design for tighter tolerances, reduced wear, and less chatter. It's designed to multiply torque effectively and has thrust bearings instead of plastic washers. BD Diesel tests every transmission and torque converter package on a dyno to ensure they work together seamlessly for ultimate performance and reliability. This kit also includes a cooler line case saver to protect against potential failures. It's important to note that this transmission is not warranted for race or sled pull use.
