This kit includes a heavy-duty aluminum pan, an auxiliary full-flow filter kit, and a billet input shaft designed to handle the demands of high horsepower and rapid throttle changes. It's built to significantly increase the durability of your drivetrain and handle up to 300% more power and torque than the original unit.

Inside this transmission, you'll find a host of upgrades. Stock thrust washers are replaced with roller Torrington bearings to reduce friction and save governor solenoids, while the intermediate shaft is drilled for better lubrication. The valve body has been redesigned and modified for improved lube in all gear positions, and the transmission itself is upgraded with more rugged 48RE components. You'll also get a higher clutch count, with up to 80% higher apply pressures than stock, and a high-temperature Raybestos band with a billet band strut and anchor for added strength. The rigid aluminum pan not only adds an extra quart of oil capacity but also helps reduce case flex and keeps temperatures down thanks to its heat-dissipating fins and magnetic drain plug.

This BD Diesel transmission is fully rollerized and features revised oil circuits for improved performance. It comes with an upgraded governor pressure transducer and solenoid, which offers twice the burst pressure of the stock unit. A cooler line case saver is included to protect against leaks. Each transmission is rigorously tested on a dyno to ensure it meets BD Diesel's high standards before it leaves the shop.
