BD Diesel Transmission Kit (c/w Filter & Billet Input) - 2003-2004 Dodge 47RE 4wd

The stock transmission in your 2003-2004 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 is built for everyday driving, but if you've added power or plan to, it might not keep up. This BD Diesel TorqueMaster Stage 5 transmission is a significant upgrade, designed to handle much more power and torque than the original. It replaces the stock 47RE with a more robust 48RE-based unit, incorporating a billet input shaft that's crucial for taking the sudden load from rapid throttle changes and high horsepower applications.

BD Diesel has gone through this transmission with a fine-tooth comb. They've replaced stock thrust washers with roller Torrington bearings to reduce friction and save your governor solenoids, and they've drilled the intermediate shaft for better lubrication. The valve body is updated with a new design and a modified manual valve that ensures lubrication in all gear positions. You'll also find a BD auxiliary full-flow filter kit included for extra protection, and the rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan adds an extra quart of oil capacity while helping to dissipate heat with its fins. This unit also features a magnetic drain plug to catch any stray metal particles.

With up to 80% higher clutch apply pressures over stock, starting at lower RPMs and lighter throttle inputs, you'll feel a more responsive drivetrain without harshness. This transmission is built with extra clutches and stronger internals, including a high-temp Raybestos band, billet band strut, and billet dual ring accumulator piston, allowing it to handle up to 300% more power and torque than stock. Every transmission is dyno-tested before it leaves BD Diesel, ensuring it's ready to go. It comes with a 36-month or 150,000-mile limited warranty, but please note it's not warranted for race or sled pull use.
