Camburg machines these snouts in-house from aircraft-quality 4130 chromoly steel. After initial machining, the parts are sent out for heat-treatment to increase their strength and surface hardness, then stress-relieved by an aerospace facility. Once that's done, they're brought back in-house for final machining and threading, holding critical dimensions and bearing surfaces to tight tolerances.
