Starting with a 4-inch billet of 4130 chromoly, these 3.25-inch hub snouts are CNC machined in-house to tight tolerances. This material is chosen for its strength and durability, making it a solid choice for fabrication projects. The process involves rough machining, then heat-treating and stress-relieving by an aerospace facility, followed by final machining to 0.001-inch tolerances on critical dimensions and bearing surfaces.
These snouts are specifically designed to fit tubing with a 4.00-inch outer diameter and a 0.250-inch wall thickness. Each snout comes complete with a locking nut that features a ring design, registering into the snout for a secure fit. Camburg offers both right-hand and left-hand thread versions, so be sure to order the correct one for your application.
