If you're fabricating your own custom spindles or uprights and need a solid mounting point for a bolt-on hub spindle snout, this Camburg Spindle Snout Block is what you're looking for. It's CNC machined right in-house from aircraft-quality 4130 chromoly steel, which is a half-inch thick for serious strength. This block is designed with the industry-standard Dana 44 bolt pattern, which Camburg has doubled up for extra security, using 12 bolts on a 4-inch spacing with a 3.375-inch inner bore.
The bolt holes are tapped for 3/8-24 threads, and Camburg recommends using mil-spec 12-point bolts for attachment. These blocks are machined for a slight press fit, and you'll likely need some post-machining after welding or heat-treating to get everything perfect. This block is made to work with all Camburg 12-bolt spindle snouts and many others. Camburg machines all surfaces—sides, top, and bottom—to ensure everything is perfectly parallel, unlike cheaper laser or waterjet cut versions.
