Camburg Ford Ranger 2wd/4wd 89-97 C/O Engine Cage Kit

This is the Camburg coilover engine cage kit specifically for your 1989-1997 Ford Ranger, whether it's 2WD or 4WD. If you're upgrading your Ranger's suspension with long-travel coilovers, this kit is designed to tie your frame rails together and provide a solid mounting point, drastically reducing flex over the engine bay. It's built to work with wider aftermarket suspension setups, not stock width components.

Constructed from 1.50-inch diameter, 0.188-inch wall thickness 4130 chromoly tubing, this cage is built for strength. It welds onto the frame in three key locations and includes an X-brace that bolts in, creating a very rigid structure. The mounts utilize existing bolt holes on the frame for placement, simplifying the initial positioning. This kit is engineered to accommodate 2.5 x 14-inch Sway-A-Way coilovers or 2.5 x 12-inch FOX or King coilovers, typically paired with 300/450 lb springs. Keep in mind that this kit comes raw and will require welding for installation. Some Rangers might need the battery relocated, and the stock airbox system will need to be removed and potentially repositioned towards the front of the engine.

Because of the cutting, grinding, and welding involved, we highly recommend having a qualified off-road shop install this kit. It's also a good idea to consider upgraded engine mounts, like those from AutoFab, for optimal performance.
