This 10-inch by 10-inch shield is designed to reflect and insulate against heat sources, making it useful for firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor pans, and even fuel cell areas. It's a great way to manage thermal transfer and keep your interior more comfortable, while also offering some protection against road debris and noise.

What makes this shield effective is its construction. It features an embossed 10-mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core. This layered design helps block radiant heat, and the aluminum side should always face the heat source for best results. It's only 3/16 of an inch thick, so it can be shaped and trimmed to fit into tight spots where clearance is minimal. The backing is a high-temperature, pressure-sensitive adhesive that holds strong past 450°F, making for a do-it-once installation on surfaces like metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, or plastic.
