DEI's Floor and Tunnel Shield II is designed specifically for these situations, acting as a robust barrier to reflect and insulate against intense heat sources. It’s a popular choice for firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor pans, and even fuel cell areas where heat can cause discomfort or damage.

This shield is well-built with a 10-mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core. This construction not only reflects heat effectively but also offers some sound deadening and protection against road debris. The improved aluminum surface adds rigidity and makes it easier to shape for a custom fit, especially in tight spots, as it’s only 3/16-inch thick. The strong, pressure-sensitive adhesive backing is designed to hold up in high temperatures, sticking securely to various surfaces like metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, and plastic. Just remember, the aluminum side should always face the heat source.

While this shield is fantastic for managing heat, it's important to note that it should not be applied directly to exhaust components.
