This DEI Fire Sleeve and Tape Kit uses a braided glass material heavily coated with 100% iron oxide silicone rubber. This construction is designed to handle direct heat up to 500°F continuously, and can even withstand intermittent heat of 2000°F. It's a great way to protect fuel, transmission, and brake lines, as well as wiring, from damaging heat and abrasions under the hood.
The kit includes a 3-foot length of 3/8-inch inside diameter Fire Sleeve. You also get a 16-inch piece of black Fire Tape. This tape is adhesive-free and self-adheres, making it perfect for finishing off the ends of the sleeve or joining two pieces together for a clean, professional look. It's useful for bundling and protecting various hoses and electrical wiring, and provides burn protection during underhood repairs and maintenance.
