When you're working on a project that generates a lot of heat, like a custom exhaust or a high-performance engine swap, keeping that heat out of the cabin is crucial. The DEI Floor and Tunnel Shield II is designed to do just that. It's a flexible heat barrier that you can shape and stick to firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor pans, and other areas where engine and exhaust heat can make things uncomfortable or even damage components.

This shield is well-built with a 10-mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core. It's then finished with a special high-temperature black coating that looks good and helps control radiant heat. The real kicker is the aggressive adhesive backing, which is strong enough to hold past 450 degrees Fahrenheit, making installation straightforward. You just trim it to size, peel off the backing, and stick it in place. It only needs about 3/16 of an inch of clearance, so it won't interfere with most components. Just remember not to apply it directly to exhaust pipes themselves.
