DEI Heat Screen 36in x 40in - Mylar Radiant Glass Fiber Matting

What you get here is one 36-inch by 40-inch sheet of DEI's Heat Screen, made with a Mylar radiant matting surface. This material is designed to help keep unwanted heat out of your vehicle's interior or away from sensitive components. It's a flexible matting that you can trim down to fit exactly where you need it, making it useful for a lot of different spots around your car or truck.

The Heat Screen is built from a fiberglass material that can handle high temperatures, and it's only about .060 inches thick. One side has a special aluminized Mylar surface that's really good at bouncing radiant heat away. This surface can handle direct heat up to 1200°F, and it can reflect even more radiant heat. It's a great way to protect painted surfaces from blistering, or to keep heat away from things like a fuel tank when an exhaust pipe runs nearby. You can secure this non-adhesive version using a high-temperature spray adhesive, a sealant, or even mechanical fasteners like screws or rivets. For sealing up seams, DEI's Cool Tape is a good option.
