Product Details
This product is a 50-foot spool of 3mm black Hi-Temp Heat Shrink Tubing. It's designed to insulate wires, wire splices, connections, and terminals, offering protection from dirt, dust, solvents, and foreign materials. It also provides strain relief for electrical connections.
This tubing has a 3:1 shrink ratio, meaning it shrinks down to one-third of its original diameter for a snug, water-tight seal without changing its length. It remains flexible even after shrinking and offers a cleaner, more professional look than tape or plastic ties. The material meets Military Specification DTL-23053/5C and is flame retardant. It operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -67°F to 275°F and requires a heat gun set between 120°F and 180°F for application. Note that it should not be applied directly to exhaust components.
