This tubing has a 3:1 shrink ratio, meaning it shrinks down to one-third of its original diameter. This creates a snug, water-tight seal around your connections without changing the tube's length. It's made from flexible polyolefin and can handle temperatures from -67°F up to 275°F, meeting military spec DTL-23053/5C. You'll need a heat gun set between 120°F and 180°F to apply it properly.
While this tubing offers excellent protection, remember not to apply it directly to exhaust components. It comes on a 200-foot spool, giving you plenty to work with for multiple projects.
