You get one 4-inch by 8-inch Titanium Pipe Shield along with two stainless steel clamps in this kit. This setup is designed to help you manage extreme heat radiating from your exhaust system, which can otherwise rob your vehicle of power and potentially damage nearby parts like your transmission, brake lines, or electrical wiring. DEI's Titanium Pipe Shield uses a unique two-ply material construction for robust heat protection.

The outer layer is woven from basalt, a volcanic rock fiber, offering durability and strength. Inside, a special high-temperature silica fabric handles extreme heat. This material combination allows the shield to protect against temperatures up to 1350°F, significantly outperforming standard glass fiber shields that can start to fail around 900°F. A key part of its design is the standoff bracket system, which creates an air gap between the shield and the pipe. This gap is crucial for maximum cooling and heat dissipation, helping to keep surrounding components safe.

You can strategically place this shield near transmissions, brake lines, floorboards, or even on motorcycle pipes to control radiant heat. It's also useful for sections of exhaust after the collector, near gas tanks, or differentials.
