When you're looking to get more usable power out of your Big-Block Chevy, this Edelbrock Rollin' Thunder camshaft is a solid choice. Right out of the box, you'll find the camshaft itself, a set of flat tappet lifters, assembly lube to help with installation, and detailed instructions to guide you through the process. This camshaft is specifically designed for Mark IV and Gen V Big-Block engines, covering displacements from 396 all the way up to 502 cubic inches, and fits a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles from 1967 through 1995, including popular models like the C10 Pickup, Impala, and Camaro.

The engineers at Edelbrock designed this Rollin' Thunder cam to really shine in the low-end to mid-range power band, making it a great option for daily drivers, trucks, vans, RVs, and 4x4s. You can expect a noticeable improvement in throttle response and overall torque, which translates to a more responsive feel when you're on the gas. With an intake duration of 236 degrees and exhaust duration of 245 degrees, paired with lifts of .625" on the intake and .639" on the exhaust, this cam is tuned for strong pulling power. The 112-degree lobe separation angle contributes to a smooth idle, making it suitable for regular street use. For optimal performance, it's recommended to use this camshaft with a high stall torque converter and stock ratio rocker arms only.

While this camshaft is designed to work well with Performer manifolds for street applications up to 5500 rpm, it's also capable of producing serious power when paired with more aggressive components. In testing with a ZZ-502 short block, Victor Jr. intake manifold, and Victor Jr. cylinder heads, this cam helped achieve 611 horsepower and 573 ft-lbs of torque. Please note that this camshaft is not compatible with 1965-66 Big Block Chevys that have a grooved rear cam journal, and it is not CARB approved, so it cannot be shipped to California.
