Edelbrock has been a well-known name in performance parts for a long time, and their Performer RPM E-Tec 170 cylinder head continues that tradition. This head is designed as a replacement for 302, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inch Small Block Chevy engines, especially those using Vortec-style manifolds. It's a complete head assembly, ready to go for hydraulic roller cam setups.

What sets this head apart is its LT1-style raised runner intake port design, which significantly increases airflow for better performance. The combustion chamber is also uniquely designed to position the spark plug closer to the center of the cylinder. This promotes a more efficient burn, leading to more power. You get 20% more exhaust flow compared to a cast iron Vortec head, and it's built for great performance up to 6000 RPM. With stock pistons in a 350 cubic inch engine, you can expect around 9.5:1 compression. The head is dual-drilled to accept both 1987-95 center bolt and 1986 and earlier perimeter flange mount valve covers, and it's compatible with most stock exhaust manifolds. Plus, the E-Tec 170 head is 50-state street legal.

This cylinder head includes an adjustable rocker stud and guide plate setup. This allows for proper stud height adjustment to accommodate factory self-aligning rocker arms or adjustable rockers.
