The spark plug spring contact on this Edelbrock coil is made from stainless steel, with a ferrite lug to help reduce EMI/RFI noise. This coil pack is built for Ford Modular 2-valve engines from 1997 to 2014, covering popular models like the Crown Victoria, F-150, and Mustang. It's designed to work with both OEM DIS electronic controls and aftermarket high-performance ignition systems, offering a direct bolt-on installation.
Compared to a stock coil, these Edelbrock Max-Fire coils have higher resistance, which translates to increased energy output, especially noticeable at higher RPMs. The coils are sealed with a high-temperature epoxy that not only provides resistance to shock and vibration but also helps with thermal conductivity.
