This design makes it possible to use the valve on cars with sensitive airflow meters, which can sometimes suffer from backfiring or stalling issues, while still getting the desired sound effect. This particular model fits a wide range of popular vehicles, including the VW Golf, Audi TT, and Saab 9-3.

What's really neat is that this valve is essentially three valves in one.
