This Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit for your 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST includes a gold bar-and-plate intercooler core and black silicone and aluminum piping. The stock intercooling system on the Focus ST, while functional, has limitations in diameter and includes a turbo muffler that can restrict performance. This kit addresses those issues by replacing the restrictive hot-side pipe with a mandrel-bent aluminum piece that ditches the muffler and increases diameter, allowing for a 26-percent improvement in hot-side flow. The cold-side pipe also sees improved flow, and the combination of the new piping grants a 21-percent increase in overall flow to and from the intercooler.

The bar-and-plate construction of the intercooler core itself is designed for maximum cooling efficiency with minimal pressure drop. Its 4.3-inch thick design allows charged air to pass through more freely than the stock core, and the all-aluminum build helps dissipate heat effectively, warding off heat soak during demanding driving conditions. This means your ST's intake manifold receives properly cooled air, contributing to a more consistent power delivery. When combined with other Mishimoto Focus ST parts, this kit is rated to add 8 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque and can handle up to 550 horsepower.
