Mishimoto 2015+ BMW F8X M3/M4 Performance Air-to-Water Intercooler

BMW's F8X M3 and M4 are known for their performance, thanks in part to their advanced S55 engine which uses an air-to-water intercooling system. While BMW's factory intercooler does a decent job, Mishimoto has identified areas for improvement to help your M car perform even better. This Mishimoto Performance Air-to-Water Intercooler is designed to replace the stock unit and offer enhanced cooling capabilities for your 2015-2020 BMW M3, M4, or M2 Competition.

You'll receive a well-built intercooler featuring full cast aluminum end tanks that are TIG welded to a robust bar-and-plate core. These end tanks incorporate internal air diverters to ensure a more even flow of charged air through the expanded core. Speaking of the core, Mishimoto has increased its size in all dimensions, resulting in a 29-percent larger volume compared to the stock unit. This larger core, combined with a unique single-pass internal fin layout for the coolant passage, optimizes heat transfer from the charged air to the coolant. The result is a significant improvement in cooling efficiency.

When tested alongside the Mishimoto Performance Heat Exchanger, this intercooler showed a 16-percent increase in flow through the core and achieved a 12°F drop in intake air temperatures. During testing, an average of 11 wheel horsepower and 8 wheel torque were recorded, with peak gains reaching up to 31 wheel horsepower and 10 wheel torque. The intercooler also sports a micro-wrinkle black finish and a sleek header plate, making it a visually appealing addition to your engine bay.
