Mishimoto engineers have significantly increased the size of the intercooler core, making it more than double the stock dimensions. The 4.7-inch thick core offers a 169-percent increase in volume and a 189-percent boost in external fin surface area, which greatly improves heat rejection. To handle the increased airflow, the core is a robust bar-and-plate design, which not only flows better than the stock tube-and-fin style but also transfers heat away more effectively. The end tanks are now cast aluminum, replacing the factory plastic for better durability and airflow management.

The kit also includes updated charge piping that's larger in diameter than the restrictive stock lines, helping to unlock more potential for engine tuning and boost increases.
