Pentosin is a German brand well known among European car owners, and Pentofrost NF is their coolant concentrate formulated specifically for aluminum engines. If you drive a BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo, or other European vehicle with an aluminum block or heads, this is the type of coolant those cooling systems were designed around.

Pentofrost NF uses a silicate-based formula without nitrite, amine, or phosphorus additives — compounds that can cause corrosion issues in aluminum cooling passages over time. Mixed 50/50 with distilled water, it provides freeze protection down to -34 degrees Fahrenheit and a boiling point of 228 degrees Fahrenheit. The formula also protects against corrosion and cavitation, has very low evaporation loss, and does not foam — all important characteristics in pressurized European cooling systems that run at higher temperatures than many domestic vehicles.

This is a 1.5-liter bottle of concentrate, so you will mix it with an equal amount of distilled water before adding it to your cooling system. One bottle makes about 3 liters of ready-to-use coolant. Most European sedans and SUVs hold between 6 and 10 liters total, so plan accordingly.
