Standard halogen headlights put out a warm yellow light that works but does not do much for nighttime visibility or the look of the car. Philips CrystalVision Platinum H7 bulbs are a halogen upgrade that shifts the color temperature up to 4200K — a noticeably whiter light on the road without going into the blue territory that can reduce actual visibility.

Each bulb runs at 55 watts on 12 volts with a PX26d connection, fitting standard H7 headlight and fog light sockets. Philips rates these at up to 60 percent more vision compared to standard H7 bulbs, which translates to light that reaches further down the road and gives you more reaction time at night. A blue cap on the bulb creates a cool blue reflection in the headlight housing during the daytime — a cosmetic touch that gives the headlights a more modern appearance even when the lights are off.

Sold as a pair, so both sides get swapped at once for even illumination. Like any halogen bulb, avoid touching the glass with bare skin during installation — use gloves or a clean cloth to prevent oil transfer that shortens bulb life.
