Starting with a 4-1/8 inch bore, this S&S Cycle crankcase is built for 1999 through 2006 Harley-Davidson Twin Cam 88A engines, excluding the 2006 Dyna models. It's designed to be significantly stronger than the stock crankcase in every way, featuring an enlarged front motor mount for added rigidity and support. This robust construction is crucial for handling the stresses of a high-performance engine build.

Inside, you'll find a generous cam chest that accommodates cam lifts up to .675 inches without needing extra clearancing, simplifying your build process. The inclusion of Timken-style sprocket shaft bearings means it can handle the most demanding applications, offering reliable performance under pressure. To further enhance reliability and prevent common issues, this crankcase incorporates an S&S crankcase breather reed valve, which effectively eliminates oil carry-over and oil scavenging problems. It's also clearanced to accept strokes up to 5 inches, giving you flexibility in engine configuration. All passages connecting the crankcase to the cam support plate are sealed with O-rings for a clean and leak-free operation.
