This Skunk2 Alpha Series kit gives you everything you need to upgrade the valvetrain on your Honda/Acura B-series VTEC engine. Inside this box, you'll find a set of high-performance dual valve springs and race-proven titanium retainers. These components are designed to work together to keep your engine running smoothly and reliably, even when you're pushing it hard.

The dual valve springs are made from clean, chrome-silicone wire sourced from Japan. They use an inner and outer spring design with slightly different frequencies, which helps prevent valve float and keeps the valvetrain stable up to and beyond 10,000 RPM. The titanium retainers are a key part of this kit, significantly reducing weight in the valvetrain. This weight reduction can lead to more horsepower and improved stability. Skunk2 designed these retainers with features like radius-cut edges for better rocker arm clearance, lightening grooves, and reduced overall heights to improve valve seal clearance and further cut down on weight. With a seat pressure of 68 lbs at 1.320 inches and an open pressure of 210 lbs at 0.820 inches, this kit is built for demanding use. The coil bind height is 0.800 inches, so make sure your setup stays within these limits during installation.
