If you're building a classic GM A-body for the strip, especially one running 13.99 seconds or faster in the quarter mile, a driveshaft safety loop is often a requirement. This loop from UMI Performance is designed specifically for the 1964-1972 GM A-body chassis, contouring to the floor pan for a clean installation behind the transmission.
Constructed from 0.250-inch thick mild steel and fully MIG welded, this loop is built for strength. It features CNC machined mounting points for a precise fit, and you have the option to either bolt it in (requiring drilling four holes) or weld it for a permanent fixture. The kit includes new hardware and detailed instructions to help you get it installed, typically within 30-45 minutes. It's finished with a durable, glossy powder coat to resist corrosion and look good.
