This weld-in upper shock mount kit from UMI Performance is designed to let you install true racing coilovers on the front of your 1978-1988 GM G-Body vehicle. It's built with a double shear mount, which is a strong design that helps handle the forces from a performance coilover setup. This kit is commonly paired with Viking C209 length shocks and 8-inch, 850 lb/in springs, and it also works well with UMI's own #3057 cornermax lower control arms.
The kit includes the double shear mount, a trim ring to help with placement, gussets for added strength, and all the necessary hardware to complete the installation. Keep in mind that this is a weld-in kit, meaning it requires cutting and fabrication work on your vehicle's frame to install properly. It's designed to fit most common 1/2-inch diameter bolt by 1-1/2-inch wide racing coilovers, making it a versatile option for many G-Body builds.
