UMI Performance 78-88 GMC G-Body Rear Coilover Bracket Kit

When you're upgrading the rear suspension on your 1978-1988 GM G-Body, this coilover bracket kit from UMI Performance gives you a solid mounting solution. What you get in this kit are laser-cut brackets made from 3/16" mild steel, designed to bolt onto Quick Performance 9" rear end housings. It also includes the upper T-bar reinforcement tab and all the necessary hardware to get it installed. This kit is specifically made to work with Quick Performance adjustable lower control arm brackets, offering five positions for trailing arm location. You'll also find multi-position shock mounting, allowing you to fine-tune your ride height and shock placement by about ¾ inch in either direction.

These brackets are powder coated black for a durable finish that holds up well. The ½" x 1-¼" mount is sized to fit most standard racing shocks, making it a versatile choice for your build. While it's a 100% bolt-in design for the brackets themselves, keep in mind that minor drilling will be required for installation. UMI manufactures these parts in Philipsburg, PA, using USA-made materials, so you know you're getting a well-built component.

It's important to note that these brackets are designed specifically for Quick Performance rear end housings and may not fit other aftermarket rear ends. UMI recommends installing the brackets first, setting your desired ride height, and then purchasing the correct length shocks. Also, be aware that rear shocks might interfere with some exhaust tailpipes, and UMI isn't responsible for exhaust clearance issues. An optional shock tower brace (P/N 3055) is also available to further reinforce your chassis.
