Starting with 0.250" thick mild steel, this driveshaft safety loop from UMI Performance is built for strength and durability. It’s designed specifically for 1978-1996 GM B-body vehicles, offering a crucial safety upgrade, especially if you’re running faster than 13.99 seconds in the quarter mile. This loop is NHRA legal and replaces the factory chassis brace without any need for welding or drilling, making it a straightforward bolt-in application.

The loop itself is constructed from DOM tubing, which is a more robust choice than commonly used electric-welded tubing. UMI Performance uses CNC machining for the mounting points, ensuring a precise fit on your vehicle. The entire assembly is fully MIG welded for solid strength and then finished with a durable, glossy powder coat that resists corrosion and looks good.
